York City's 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Scunthorpe United last night stretched their win-less run to ten games.
They have won only one game in 2004 when they beat bottom club Carlisle United 2-0 at Bootham Crescent on January 10.
They have not won any of their ten games since and have slipped from tenth place - just outside the play-offs - to 16th.
Two sides will be relegated to the Nationwide Conference this season for the first time.
Former York City striker Peter Duffield made a winning start to life with basement club Carlisle last night.
He has joined Division Three's bottom club in a one-month loan deal from Boston United and made an instant impact, scoring the only goal of the game against high-flying Huddersfield Town in the 72nd minute at Brunton Park.
Victory would have put the Terriers into second place.
