YORK MP Hugh Bayley and council leisure chiefs met a senior Odeon official to deliver our campaign message.
Mr Bayley and Coun Keith Orrell, City of York Council's executive member for leisure and heritage, were representing more than 10,000 people who have so far signed our petition in only six weeks. They told the Odeon's regional manager that we want the York Odeon to remain open following sensitive refurbishment.
Record numbers have signed our petition and sent messages of support over the internet through our website.
Please send any remaining petition forms to Matthew Woodcock, Evening Press, Walmgate, York, as soon as possible.
