TODAY'S snow falls stopped a whirlwind and a hurricane coming to York.
It meant disappointment for snooker fans, as Jimmy "Whirlwind" White and Alex "Hurricane" Higgins were kept out of York by the weather.
The two had been due to play a sold-out exhibition match at the Barbican in the city tonight.
But concerns were raised that icy roads would make it dangerous for fans to travel.
Tickets will be valid for the rearranged date, which has yet to be announced.
