DOZENS of dance enthusiasts have signed up to take part in York's biggest dance extravaganza.
City of York Council's arts service invited dancers and dance teachers, to attend the Dance Week York launch yesterday, giving local groups the opportunity to advertise their work and to find out how to become involved in this year's week-long event.
Dance Week York runs from Saturday, June 19, to June 26, with the theme of Dance In Outdoor Spaces.
Plans include an open showcase in the city centre and a series of taster sessions where anyone can try a variety of dance styles, including hip-hop, salsa and ballet.
Anyone who would like more information about Dance Week should phone the arts service on 01904 554660.
