I WAS sorry to read about Ms Sellars' experience at Acomb Green ('Disgusting park', February 20).
I hope she contacted the York Pride line on 551551, details of which were in the City of York Council leaflets which she received.
Although the green is cleaned each week, the York Pride line has been set up by the Liberal Democrat council to quickly deal with complaints such as this. However, problems can only be acted on if residents exercise their civic duty and report them.
May I also reassure Ms Sellars about the future of Acomb Green. Residents will be meeting on March 9 at 6pm at Acomb Gables not only to discuss plans for the refurbishment of the area, but also the formation of a Friends of Acomb Green.
I look forward to welcoming Ms Sellars to the meeting.
Coun Sue Galloway,
Westfield ward councillor,
Stirrup Close,
Ainsty Park,
York.
