Union Rovers, second in division two of the RJF Homes Beckett League, were beaten for the first time this season in the league, going down 1-0 at home to Slingsby.
Stuart Magin made sure of his 54th minute spot-kick to claim the points for Slingsby after an earlier miss by Rovers.
Gillamoor returned to winning ways with a 4-2 defeat of Ampleforth despite a saved penalty by Ampleforth 'keeper Tony Dodds.
Karl Richardson, Jonathan Bointon, Andrew Bayes and James Cook all found the mark for Gillamoor, while Kevin Wright and Dave Wallinger twice pegged them back.
Ryedale Sports Club Reserves maintained their unbeaten status with a 5-3 defeat of Bagby and Balk.
Three goals in 15 minutes from Dave Jenkins and Sean Dixon (2) set Ryedale up with birthday boy Andrew Best and Sean Hornby wrapping it up second half. Andrew Parkinson, Anthony Hewson and Paul Fountain scored for Bagby.
