AN emphatic 6-1 win for Collingwood against Crescent confirmed Collingwood as the York White Rose Ladies' League division one champions.

Yvonne Broadhead hit a ton, while Crescent's only winner came from Pam Husband, who hit a 114.

Coach & Horses (Tadcaster) finished runners-up after a 5-2 victory against New York 'A'. Yvonne Ryder (100) and Jill Clapham (100) stood out for Coach.

The best performance of the night came from Maureen Tindall (New York 'B'), who gamed in a superb 16 darts against Six Bells, whose Carol Quantock hit a ton.

The battle for the division three title went to the last match with Acomb Sports defeating close rivals Tap 6-1 to secure the crown. Anna Cooper (Acomb) hit 105, while Tap's best came from Judith Stark with a 118 score.

Sharon Neads checked 89 as Flag lowered Cueball 'B' 6-3 in York John Smith's Ladies' League division one.

Tracey Farmeary hit the tons as Cueball 'B' polished off Clifton 6-3, while Sandra Winters starred as Phoenix recorded a similar victory against Dringhouses.

Division two front-runners Slip had the Pat Cairns-Claire Robinson pairing securing the win against Burton, whose Jacqui Ridall won a lone-hand pairs. Mavis Barker partnered Debbie Lodge to seal the win for Slipper at Sun.

Tang Hall Club recovered from a 4-2 deficit as Barbara Ward-Mavis Rawcliffe secured their match at Sun. Maxine Midgley-Maureen Carhill sealed Jubilee's 5-4 result against Britannia.

Division three leaders Blacksmiths were taken close by Ebor before Beverley Lawson-Sue Wells secured the match. Severus's Jackie Simpson-Sheila Elliott were the match-winners against Leeman.

The first round of the Crescent WMC Centenary Team Knockout featured Bay Horse (Fulford) against Howden Arms (Tadcaster).

Six tons from Paul Cooper (Bay) saw him defeat Andy Edkins 2-0, then Dave O'Hara (Bay) added legs of 21 and 22 darts against Andy Cass who had chances.

Chris Wilson (18) got Howden on the scoresheet with a 2-0 win over Ally Wray, then Kev O'Hara put in 22 and 21-darters against Steve Burton.

The performance of the night came from Bay's Rich Corner with 15 and 18-dart legs against Dave Tatterton. A 180 from Chris Bullen saw him game in 23 and 22 darts against Mark Sommerville.

Howden's Stuart Simpson showed some of his old form in his first competitive game for three years, defeating Roy Cockerill 2-0.

The final result was 5-2 to worthy winners, Bay Horse. The next match features the hosts Crescent against Greyhound (Riccall) on Wednesday.
