IN reply to Ann Finch (Letters, February 19), I too think people should not forget what Mr Blair has done for us. He has imposed 60 new taxes; raided people's pension funds through windfall tax; raised council taxes by four and five times the rate of inflation; devastated the farming industry after the foot and mouth fiasco and given hyped-up figures for the recruitment of doctors and nurses.

Transport is in the doldrums; we hear they are going to be tough on crime but only if you are a victim; he has sent our troops to war without the proper equipment to arm themselves; then there is the immigration factor. Yes, I agree we should not forget what Tony Blair and his Government have done for us.
