I cannot understand the recent comments coming from the York City gloom and doom merchants.

The time to judge Chris Brass will be at the end of the season. He has been operating virtually all season with one hand tied behind his back.

When he took on the role of player-manager he had a threadbare squad of about eight players. I thought that he would do well to keep City in the League and in my opinion has exceeded all expectations so far.

He should be a candidate for manager of the year but no doubt it will go to one of the usual suspects.
