I HAVE once again been on the day ward at York Hospital.
Nothing changes. The care you receive makes it feels as if your own family are looking after you.
Everyone got on with what they were doing and we had laughs in between.
This was reassuring because we were all a bit nervous. I was in at 8.15am and didn't go for my operation until 12.15pm. The surgeon was kind and caring and the general atmosphere made it very bearable.
I thank all the staff.

...I WISH to praise all the staff at York Hospital after my recent stay there.
After a blackout in my home I managed to get to the phone and ring the clinic. They called an ambulance which took just five minutes to arrive and get me to the hospital.
All the staff there were caring and attentive. The facilities were excellent, the nurses were very nice and came round all the time during the day to check if people were all right.
The choice of food and drink was very good and everything was tasty and well prepared.
Thank you to all the medical staff for looking after me during the nine days I was in hospital. I shall never worry about going there knowing I shall be in good hands.
