ALL too often the images presented of teenagers are negative. So we are happy to report today the story of the York-based Army Cadets whose prompt actions at a motorway crash have been praised by emergency chiefs.
These quick-thinking and level-headed cadets were on a minibus when they saw the accident on the M62. They raised the alarm and immediately began helping victims and diverting traffic.
The youngsters were yesterday presented with awards for their actions.
Not only did they display common sense and bravery, these fine young cadets have also raised £10,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Well done to them all.
