A YORK man had a lucky escape when the car he was driving was in collision with a bus.
The accident happened at about 8am today when a Ford Fiesta was emerging into Hull Road, near Archbishop Holgate's School.
The car was in collision with a 746 Market Weighton to York East Riding bus travelling into the city centre.
No one was hurt in the accident, but PC Andy Tucker said the Ford Fiesta was "probably a write-off".
More than ten passengers on the bus were taken off and put on to a First York service.
Department of Transport officers also attended the scene.
The bus suffered minor damage to its front panel.
