GOMEZ are to play Fibbers in York on March 10 as part of a trio of exclusive low-key dates to support the release of new single Catch Me Up that week. Not surprisingly, the 7.30pm show has sold out quicker than you can say 78 Stone Wobble.
In a quick tour of Barfly venues, they will perform "semi-acoustic, up close and personal shows" at Cardiff on March 8, Liverpool on March 9 and York the following night, before heading out on an extensive British tour in May. They have just returned from an 18-date American itinerary.
In the late spring, Gomez will release their fourth album, Split The Difference, the follow-up to 2002's In Our Gun. Vocalist and guitarist Tom Gray says of their return: "We're back from outer space with a big grin on our face".
