CICADA, the North Yorkshire public relations company, has won two prestigious new contracts - Castle Cement and GSM Industrial Graphics.
Cicada, of Harrogate, is developing training programmes and literature for national cement supplier Castle Cement, focusing on community relations. These training initiatives will take place on sites throughout the UK.
Castle Cement, the second largest cement supplier in the UK, has factories in Ribblesdale, North Wales, and Rutland.
GSM Industrial Graphics is a leading supplier of tread plates and interior trim to the automotive industry.
Cicada will manage its media relations across the UK.
General manager Russell Hoyland said: "We have many new customers and products for 2004.
"I am pleased that Cicada have come on board to help inform our market about these new successes."
Cicada now handles media relations for all four companies within the GSM Group.
Di Burton, Cicada's managing director, said: "The new business we have won with Castle Cement and GSM Industrial Graphics indicates the wide range of services we are able to offer companies.
"Public relations is not just about press relations; it deals with all communications to all audiences".
Cicada's client list includes the Institute of Directors, McCormicks Solicitors, the Royal Entomological Society and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
