York Rugby Union Club Under-13s booked a place in the semi-final of the Yorkshire Cup with a classy 16-7 win over Hull Ionians.
An inspired drop goal into a strong head wind by fly half Tris Wyke fired York into the lead after a dominant surge.
Hull kicked off well with the wind at their backs but York's Robbie Cuthbertson made the most of it as he picked up the ball from just outside his own 22 and completed one of the solo tries of the season after breaking two tackles and powering through the Hull line to outsprint the Hull centre over the 60 metres to the try line.
Luke Bowler converted into the wind to make it 10-0 at half time and added two second half penalties - both from more than 25 metres out - to the tally.
Hull bagged a consolation try in the dying minutes but York were the deserved winners.
York: Matthew Appleton, Craig Marsden, Alistaire Jackson, Charlie Herriott, Aron Robinson, Greg Turner, Sam Murgatroyd, Will Edwards, Ben Johnson, Wyke, Luke Watling, Bowler, Cuthbertson, Tom Stancliffe, Phil Balls, Max Harland, Dan McMahon and Nick Speck.
