CARDIFF City manager Lennie Lawrence is not planning a move for Minstermen midfielder Lee Bullock in the immediate future.
Lawrence has not cooled his interest in Bullock after watching him in last night's 4-1 home defeat against Lincoln but sees little point in signing the 22-year-old midfielder when he is only likely to play him in the Welsh club's reserve team while Cardiff still chase a First Division play-off spot.
The Bluebirds boss missed Bullock's best two moments of the game after leaving Bootham Crescent on 72 minutes.
Bullock scored City's consolation on 11 minutes and also provided a dangerous cross from the right which Lee Nogan headed wide.
Before then, he had made little impact but Lawrence said: "I went to take a look but left before he scored. I am still very interested and the difficulty is knowing when to make the move because other clubs might come in for him.
"He's definitely got something and I certainly have not lost interest but we won't be doing anything in the short-term and realise that means we might miss out on him."
Lawrence left early to head back to South Wales without making contact with City boss Chris Brass.
