RICKY Greening bagged a brace as Pickering Town enjoyed a 3-2 victory at Eccleshill United.
All the goals came in an eventful second half, with Greening scoring the match-winner to give the Pikes the lead for the third and final time in the match.
Gavin Dickenson was also on target for the visitors with a well-worked goal after fine work by striker Mark Wood.
Seventh-placed Pickering could still go above Northern Counties East League premier division leaders Brigg Town if they win their six games in hand.
Manager Steve Brown said: "We have 18 games to play and will just keep chipping away. We are playing well and our results have not always been a fair reflection on our performances."
Selby Town lost their unbeaten home record and their position at the top of the table by going down 2-1 to sixth-placed Eastwood Town.
Bob Lyon's men took a 65th-minute lead courtesy of Andy Hart's brilliantly-taken free kick but Eastwood levelled the scores after a stunning header by Liberian international Wael Nazha.
Midfielder Sean Gummer then won the match in the 88th minute, firing home from the edge of the box.
Brigg took advantage of Selby's slip-up with a 4-0 mauling of Mickleover Sports.
Lyon said: "We bossed the whole game, we really should have won it, but didn't make it count. We had so many chances to take the lead but then, when we did, we just came right off the gas, and let them back in the game.
"Their winner was a great goal, but it wasn't a good game, we really should have done better."
A last-minute goal by Liam Gray earned Harrogate Railway an excellent 2-1 home win over third-placed Ossett Albion.
Chris Howarth was also on target for the Station View side.
Steve Jones scored the only goal on the game after 68 minutes to give Goole victory at relegation-threatened Arnold Town, who also had David Wilkins sent off.
In NCEL division one, Tadcaster Albion lost 1-0 at Worsborough Bridge.
Harrogate Town boss John Reed claimed that his side should have led 8-0 at half-time before settling for a point in a goalless draw in their UniBond League premier division match at lowly Frickley.
Title-chasing Town saw James Turley miss five chances of his own before the break with Mark Ford, Glenn Naylor, Colin Hunter and on-loan York City striker Aron Wilford also failing to find the net with good opportunities.
But Harrogate ended the game hanging on for a point as goalkeeper Ashley Connor made four fantastic saves in the last 20 minutes.
Reed said: "There were some awful misses and it would not have been unjust if we had been 6-0 up at half-time. James Turley had a nightmare in front of goal and, in the last 20 minutes, our goalkeeper Ashley Connor made four fantastic saves. It was an amazing game for a 0-0. It should have been 8-4."
The Harrogate boss was pleased with Wilford's display after signing him late on Friday afternoon and said: "He was instrumental in creating a lot of the chances for James Turley. I liked him last season when he played against us last year for Whitby.
"He trained with us before he got the chance to go to York where it has not worked out as well as he wanted but we hope he will be a good addition for us. We have got a small squad and a very hard run-in."
