POCKLINGTON'S all-round efficiency brought them another six tries and a 34-3 victory at home to Bramley.
Their well-drilled pack was soon in control and, unusually, the first two scores were made by the backs then finished by forwards.
Good three-quarter play forced a lineout ten yards out and an unstoppable catch and drive brought the touchdown for openside Adam Pears. Then the backs broke 40 yards down the right from inside their own half, and the forwards took over with a rolling maul for blindside Steve Wilcock to finish.
Pock were in the driving seat as a slick move in midfield saw full-back Charlie Allen slice through to the posts, Kevin Bowling converting.
Allen then passed up the chance to take his side out of sight just before the break when he was dragged over the deadball line without scoring after a scintillating sprint from halfway.
Without playing as well in the second half Pocklington continued to take the game to Bramley. After a raid down the right the ball was moved swiftly along the line for wing Fergus Purtill to dive over in the left corner.
Bramley had a period of strong pressure but could find no way through Pocklington's resolute defence, and the visitors' only points came when Bowling was harshly penalised after intercepting a Bramley pass in front of his posts and going clear.
Pocklington resumed the offensive but failed to turn some good attacks into points until another line-out drive ended with hooker Dave Birch plunging over for Bowling to convert. The home side wrapped things up in the closing stages with a blindside move from a scrum which put right wing Rob Parsons in at the corner.
