A TOTAL of £7,325 was raised by the fans match auction at Bootham Crescent Social Club on Friday night.
The money was raised by supporters bidding for places in Alan Little's away team for the game between two sides of City fans that will be played on the club's hallowed turf on Sunday, May 9.
All funds will go to York City Supporters' Trust and the match organisers have already passed their £10,000 target with places in Chris Brass' home side raising £2,815.
Steve Tutill, who is one of six City 1993 play-off final heroes that will play in the game, was in attendance, and organiser Steve Ovenden said: "The night in the social club was well supported and the amount raised by a few City fans was just amazing. It shows what this club means to York City fans, and the lengths they'll go to to play their part.
"We're going to make this day a special one for everyone involved."
Supporters who would still like to play a part in the game can buy a raffle ticket from the club shop. The raffle will decide who wears the number 13 shirts in both teams.
