NOW we have the great news that York City can remain at Bootham Crescent for "the foreseeable future" one sticking point remains.
Where do we go after that?
It is pretty obvious that those who brought about the recent situation have not just walked away and they will want their pound of flesh at a later date.
May I suggest to City of York Council that we have an excellent site close to the city centre. What about the Fossbank gas works site?
This land is contaminated with poisons and hardly the best place for houses /families and continual habitation but perfect for a modest sized stadium.
It could incorporate a hotel to help reduce building costs, offices for rent, a supporters and social club to replace the lost pubs and clubs of the area, car park (open to the public during the week) and a park and ride bus service from Monks Cross on match days.
Let's hope for once the people of York are considered before the shareholders of another house builder.
