AS I director of a Hull-based company heavily involved in sponsorship of Hull City, but also a lifelong York City fan and season ticket holder, I am in a somewhat unenvious position come Monday mornings after our local derbies.
So, as I watched last Saturday's match I saw, the double standards that appear to exist with the stewards at the impressive K C Stadium.
While home fans in the East Stand and in the corner of the West Stand seem to do as they like - continually stand up, taunt the opposition etc - if the away fans even celebrate their team scoring they are likely to be ejected.
However, I would like to congratulate Chris Brass and his team on an excellent performance and one that certainly didn't deserve to end in a loss. For me that was the best away display since the McAlpine Stadium early in the season.
Head held high Monday morning as I walked into work, not to be greeted by colleagues punching the air but sharp intakes of breath and comments "we were lucky", "you deserved a draw at least", "best side this season at the KC", "your ball retention was brilliant, we never touched the ball for minutes on end."
