I AM delighted, like all fans, that York City's future has been assured but would love to know whether Douglas Craig is now finally out of the picture and what is the position with Persimmon Homes?
I would also like to know whether City and York City Knights are still working together.
City have ambitions of First Division football and the Knights are looking for Super League status. If this is ever going to happen we will need a 12,000 capacity stadium for both clubs to share.
York is also desperate for a top class concert venue where we could see the world's top orchestras and rock and pop stars performing instead of the second-rate attractions we currently get at the Barbican.
Does City of York Council have the vision to work with a developer to bring about a combined stadium and concert venue, perhaps also incorporating hotel and or casino facilities, to give the City something we could be really proud of?
