YEARSLEY were not just blown hard by the wind but found York and District Sunday Afternoon League division two leaders Cottage Inn in storming form. Cottage Inn, playing away, won 15-3 to stay top of the division by four points.
Second-placed Forest FC slipped up when they were held to a hard-fought 1-1 draw by third-placed Gimcrack FC.
After a shaky start to the season Shoulder of Mutton now find themselves in fourth place after cruising to a 6-2 win away to Wigginton Grasshoppers, keeping Paul Lambert's side in with a shout in the division two title race.
Huntington Juniors put away their chances to win 5-1 at home to CB United, who have been hit by injuries and suspensions. United's consolation goal came from their top scorer Graham Morrison. Rich Mills created the goal by beating two defenders before putting over a cross for Morrison to slot home. Mills and United veteran Mick Cook had shots cleared off the line.
The bottom-of-the-table clash ended in disaster for Cedarwood as they crashed 9-2 at home to Bay Horse United Marygate. Cedarwood are at the foot of the table on goal difference.
