MANSFIELD Town boss Keith Curle is set to ring the changes for tomorrow's Third Division clash at Bootham Crescent after his side crashed 3-0 at Rochdale in their last outing, writes Dave Flett.

Colin Larkin, Wayne Corden, Luke Dimech and Junior Mendes all face the axe after poor performances, while fit-again Tony Vaughan is expected to replace blameless teenage left-back Jake Buxton as Curle opts for experience.

Iyseden Christie is expected to replace Mendes as new loan signing Richard Pacquette's replacement in attack with Mansfield keen to rediscover their goal-scoring touch.

The promotion-chasing Stags, who are currently fourth in the table, have not scored more than once in any of their last nine matches.

Pacquette has joined Mansfield from QPR and made his debut at Spotland, where half of the 1,000 travelling fans left before the end chanting "what a load of rubbish".

Only the form of ex-Manchester United goalkeeper Kevin Pilkington prevented a heavier defeat and Malta international Dimech is also expected to pay the price by losing his centre-back spot to David Artell, while wide men Larkin and Corden look poised to be replaced by Neil MacKenzie and Craig Disley.

Midfielder Tom Curtis (knee) and full-back Adam Eaton are Mansfield's only long-term absentees and Curle is looking for a reaction after the Rochdale horror show.

The former Manchester City and England defender said: "York is a difficult place to go and the players are aware we need a result. It's a tight, compact ground and it will not be pretty but we can get the result.

"They will make it difficult and throw everything at us. We want to put them on the back foot and have nothing to fear. I have 22 players fit and available and they should all be fighting for their shirts."
