I CAN'T believe what I read ('Terror as police raid wrong house', January 31). A family was terrified after a police blunder when they raided the wrong house. A senior officer admitted they got the wrong street and blamed a lack of signs in the area for the mistake.
Eight officers wearing body armour, helmets and padded jackets barged in through the resident's unlocked door.
What were they after, an Al Capone-type with a Tommy gun? No, Insp Shaun Thompson said they were looking for a man in connection with a fraud-related offence. No wonder respect for the police is zero.
