A NEW recruitment consultancy has opened in York.

Clare Pearson, senior consultant for national firm Select Appointments has been chosen to run an office from Tower House Business Centre in Fishergate, York. The office opened only days after Clare scooped third place in the Permanent Consultants category at Select Appointment's national awards in Nottingham.

Clare, who lives in Haxby, beat more than 100 recruitment consultants with her work servicing clients in Leeds and West Yorkshire.

Now she hopes to build on her success in York.

She will initially be focusing on placing people in secretarial and administrative posts.

Clare said: "This is a really exciting opportunity for me and Select Appointments.

"I am really pleased they have given me the opportunity to service clients and recruit people in my home town."
