ONCE again the citizens of York have lost out because of the bickering between the two main political parties.
I refer to the rejection by the Lib Dems of an environmental capacity study.
Is Councillor Anne Reid, who chaired the meeting, the same Anne Reid who in 2002 said, and I quote: "Liberal Democrat councillors are concerned at the impact of new housing on the existing roads network"?
The green belt working group had an ideal opportunity to get to grips with this problem and that of over development in the York area. They chose not to do so by voting on party lines, to the detriment of the community.
