I OBJECT most strongly to the RAF's student pilots and navigators being described as "skyhogs" (Letters, January 30). Where else can these young men be trained, other than near their home base? They have to practice their manoeuvres somewhere.
Linton had ten heavy bomber squadrons based there during the Second World War and we were only too pleased to be woken at dawn to count them in.
