THREE very different things this week amazed me.
1. The new Norwich Union car park at Monks Cross is obviously too small. There are cars parked on the roadside all the way between the two roundabouts. Bags of planning there!
2. The Arcade at Haxby had a ramp built that obviously is not suitable for deliveries because I noticed Jack Fulton were having to deliver from The Village making more congestion. Now they are block-paving the whole of a perfectly good walking area. I hope they are also updating the toilets because they look "grotty" from the outside. How much money does the council have to spend/waste by March 31?
3. In the Evening Press of February 2 I read an invitation to visit the Castle Howard Christmas Fair on Thursday, November 4.
The world has gone mad.
