YORK Acorn entertain Widnes St Maries in Arriva Trains Conference Division Two on Saturday keen to make home advantage count in the pursuit of points.
Lee McTigue is starting a six-match ban, while Richard Scott's knee problem will keep him out of action and Gary Isles is on holiday.
But prop Paul Dodworth, Shaun Gilmore and Nicky Cauldwell are all due back and the four-week suspension for Andy Lee does not come into force until next week.
Head coach David Kay said: "It is a home game, but they are coming in off the back of five defeats and will be wanting to turn things around so we won't be taking them lightly."
York Groves will be aiming to bounce back from a disappointing 20-point defeat at the hands of Undercliffe when they go to Bank Top Harriers.
Paul Byne said: "It is always difficult playing away as people can't always make it because of work commitments, but we have got to put in a good performance."
Selby Warriors go into their all-important clash at Thornton knowing the loser could be out of the running for the Pennine League Division Five title.
Second row Andy Rowe is a doubt, but otherwise the team is expected to be at full strength for the crucial tie.
Selby are currently third and Thornton fourth - both on 20 points - with games in hand on the leaders York Acorn 'A' and second-placed Undercliffe.
Coach Dave Sowden said: "It's probably going to be one of the hardest games of the season. We beat them 13-12 at home in a really close game and apparently, their pitch is on a hill.
"But we are still pretty confident we can do it."
York Acorn 'A' will be wanting to extend their lead with another win at second-bottom Victoria Rangers 'A'.
