YORK City fans will be able to toast this week's historic news at Bootham Crescent's Social Club on Saturday night.

Supporters' Trust board member Kirsten Gillies will be racing back to open the club after the away game at table-topping Hull City and fans can raise a glass or two at 6.30 pm in a celebration of staying at Bootham Crescent.

The venue could not be more fitting as it was also the place that club director Jason McGill made yesterday's historic announcement to players and staff.

Admission is free and everybody is welcome.

Meanwhile, City fans are reminded that Saturday's trip to the Tigers' KC Stadium is all-ticket and away fans' tickets have to be bought from the Bootham Crescent offices no later than 4pm tomorrow.

So far York have sold 1,000 of their 1,500 allocation for Saturday's derby duel.
