CHRIS Houseman, chairman of York Cricket Club, was presented with a new trophy, the Maurice Durham Honours Cup, at the club's annual dinner at Churchill's, Bootham.
Houseman, who has worked tirelessly for York CC since his retirement, is also grounds chairman at Clifton Park, junior cricket administrator and umpires for one of the teams each Saturday.
The trophy was presented to him by Nigel Durham, first team captain for the past four years, in memory of his father, who died last July.
The Supporters' Man of the Season award went to Dan Broadbent, who is now in Malaysia with England Under-19s preparing for the World Cup in Bangladesh later this month.
Other award winners: First team batting - Stephen Piercy 765 runs, average 33.25; bowling - Dan Broadbent, 51 wickets, average 14.59 (this won him the Yorkshire League junior bowling prize); second team batting - Nash Stone 1,383 runs, average 72.78; bowling - Richard Carroll 40 wickets, 20.2; third team batting - Stephen Jones 373 runs, 74.6; bowling - Simon Hall 36 wickets, 6.25; fourth team batting - Tom Copeland 290 runs, 48.25; bowling - Dave Murray 40 wickets, 8.2.
