THANK you to all the dedicated, professional people who have helped us over a worrying time.
Special thanks to Mr D Alexander, Mr Urwin, Dr Sebag-Montefiore and their respective teams. Our thanks also go to nurses, cheerful catering staff at York Hospital, local doctors, district nurses, ambulance teams and our friendly local chemist.
Over the past six months, we have certainly made use of the National Health Service and all the above have excelled with kindness, dedication and hard work.
Thanks also to dear friends and family whose constant prayers and thoughts have helped in more ways than they will ever know.
As our grandson might say "we have been to the edge" - thankfully we have returned to enjoy a few more precious days.
Now, if only the powers that be could sort out the horrendous parking problem at York Hospital, we might all benefit.
Peter and Pamela Egan,
North Lane,
Malton Road, York.
