A GOLD coin made in York more than 500 years ago is expected to fetch up to £2,500 at a Sotheby's auction.
The coin, known as a noble, which is still in mint condition, was produced in York during the reign of Henry VI, not long after the Battle of Agincourt.
A noble coin was roughly worth one-third of a pound or 33p in modern money.
It is being sold by auctioneers Morton & Eden on Thursday.
