WANTED: double-breasted "gangster" suits, empty violin cases and sparkling costume jewellery.
The Flying Ducks Youth Theatre, based at Haxby, is looking for these costumes and props for its next production - Tin Pan Ali - which is based on the story of the Arabian Nights.
It will be performed in March at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre.
Group director Stephen Outhwaite said: "Flying Ducks always do something a bit different each year and this year is no exception. Tin Pan Ali is based on the story of the Arabian Nights it has never been done in York before and it's a great show for all the family, appealing to both young and old.
"There is scope for our costume department to be very dapper. The story demands gangster costumes and you can't tell the story without lots of diamonds, so we need an abundance of cheap costume jewellery."
Anyone who can help should phone Jill Outhwaite on 01904 761806.
