Homeowners in North and East Yorkshire have made more than £10,000 on their homes in only six months, a survey has revealed.
In the first half of 2003 the average home in Yorkshire has increased in value from £88,288 to £99,116.
The study, by Cheltenham and Gloucester, ranks the region's increase as the fourth highest in Britain. The national increase is £8,114.
