Tom Stancliffe scored three tries as York RUFC Under-13s inflicted the first defeat of the season on Bradford & Bingley, beating them 19-10.
Excellent forward work in the first half gave York's backs the chance to run, with Stancliffe touching down two tries converted by Ben Johnson and Sam Murgatroyd respectively.
In the second half Stancliffe got his third try, after which York's pack eased off and the visitors came back with two uncoverted tries.
York U8s won by eight tries to five at Bradford & Bingley. After a shaky start, York were kept in it by three scores from winger Charlie Elliott.
The best move of the match came in the second half when, from the restart, Dylan George swung the ball right to Adam Turner on the wing. Although he was stopped within yards of the corner he off-loaded inside via Jake Garland and William Pepper for William Scholey to drive over in the middle of the field.
