THE organisers of a property investors' exhibition in York say it resulted in the sale of more than £2.5 million worth of property - some in Spain.
A similar event is being planned next April, say estate agents Hunters. The exhibition at York Racecourse, which provided free help and advice from independent legal experts, taxation professionals and financial advisors to anyone interested in property as an investment, was attended by about 800 people.
Hunters say it received a "staggering" response from buyers looking to the Spanish property market for investment purposes and holiday homes, with more than 20 inspection visits booked, mainly to the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca.
Director Kevin Hollinrake said: "Property investment can be a daunting prospect and the fact that this exhibition is specifically designed to provide a step-by-step guide to potential investors makes it hugely popular."
