AS a resident of Wetherby Road for the last six years, I sympathise with Ms Potter with her vibrating bed (November 12).
I have not been asked for my signature or opinion on the state of the road surface. My house also vibrates when heavy lorries go by, but this is down to the speed the vehicle is travelling.
We have had speed camera warning signs on our road for as long as I have lived here, but cameras are hardly ever used.
If the authorities were to erect two permanent cameras traffic will slow down, houses and beds will stop vibrating, the council won't build car-damaging speed humps, life is not put in danger across busy roads and everyone will be happy.
