CHRISTMAS is coming, goodwill to all men... but not turkeys.
Please stop and think how these birds suffer to feed you on Christmas day. Their short lives are filled with pain and misery. They often have the end of their beaks cut off so they don't peck each other when thousands are housed together in windowless sheds.
They are fattened up so quickly their legs can no longer support them and they collapse as they drag themselves to food and water.
They suffer ulcers and burns because they constantly lie in their own waste on the floor because it will not be cleaned out until they are slaughtered.
If only everyone realised how animals suffer to feed us, we could change the system and give them a far better life. So please spare a thought for your turkey when it sits on your dinner table on Christmas day. It only knew a life of misery and pain.
