CELEBRITY twitcher Bill Oddie was in York on the trail, not of a rare bird, but of a mystery historic figure.
Bill and a BBC1 TV crew were filming for a new quiz show series, Bill Oddie's History Hunt.
The programme sees a team of contestants visiting a town or city in Britain and being given a series of clues to identify an unnamed figure from the past. The team has been filming all over York for the programme, including York Castle Museum - as the show also aims to give viewers an overall picture of the history of the City of York.
To discover the identity of the mystery person, you will have to tune in to Bill Oddie's History Hunt in January.
