TWO years ago I wrote to Odeon cinemas complaining about the poor condition of their Blossom Street property and received a reply assuring me that development would take place in September 2002.
The present state of paintwork, lighting, canopy etc bear witness to the lack of care to this listed building.
I am a former director of Bryant Group, the company which built this Odeon 66 years ago, long before my day. As a former developer too, I note the speculation of the building's suitability for apartments - presumably without windows?
Would that this brick pile could be de-listed, and the site put to a better, and more appropriate use - yes, even flats!
