York City boss Chris Brass reckons the Minstermen and York City Knights Rugby League Club could have a harmonious relationship as joint tenants at Huntington Stadium.
Brass admitted there were possible negative financial implications for the football club if the switch goes ahead but insisted sharing facilities with the Knights would not be a problem.
Brass said. "I was at the Yorkshire Sports Awards dinner on Monday night with the Knights chairman Roger Dixon and chief executive Steve Ferres and I have a good relationship with them.
"I have met them on a few occasions and they are very personable people and I would be more than happy to work alongside them if that's the avenue we find ourselves going down.
"We will lose revenue and the budget will be even tighter but if it's the only option we will have to accept it.
"We've had a lot of hard things to contend with at this football club and I am sure we would get through it."
