Second division Bridge Colts caused the upset of the Challenge Trophy second round when they came from behind to defeat first division hosts New Earswick.

Charlton and Bryan notched two apiece as Shoulder of Mutton beat Raskelf Rovers 7-0, while Hemingbrough hammered hosts Wanderers 8-0, Bennett and Smith each netting two. Copmanthorpe matched that, Gilbertson and Robinson getting hat-tricks.
In the league, Acomb SC moved up to third in division two with a hard earned 2-1 win over Shipton. Tute and Wray scored for Acomb with Myers replying.
Honours ended even in division three, where goals from Mitchell and Gibson saw Bishopthorpe draw 2-2 with Burnholme SC.
Despite winning 3-2 at home to Rumours with strikes from Dear (2) and Baxter (pen), Kingsway Riders dropped to the foot of the table after Gipsy Moth lost 4-0 to Castle Ox for whom Swales, Day, Holmes and Mangan were the marksmen.
Division six bottom club Pocklington Rangers gained their first point in a 4-4 draw over second-placed Poppleton Lord Nelson. Durkin hit a hat-trick for Pocklington, a triple treat matched by Poppleton's Theaker.
