CAN we assume that £4 million of ratepayer's money was wasted on Rawcliffe roundabout?

The council assured residents that after 18 months of inconvenience all would be well, and the traffic flow would improve.

I use that route regularly and the flow has become worse. The speed at which vehicles come round is unbelievable now they have the space to do it. Because there are three lanes to choose from, most cars and lorries come round in the Scarborough lane to go on the A19 Thirsk route. Because the centre is raised you can't see them coming so you have a choice: do I stay or do I go?

It's that situation that causes the hold-ups. It was better before the so-called improvements.
