AFTER butchering their own songs for more than three decades, Quo set to work on destroying other people's classics as well.
It's a good job Rick Parfitt's temporary bout of RSI is over, because there is enough single chord twang in this collection to hospitalise him permanently. The idea behind the album is easy to appreciate. Take a series of classic rock hits, including some of your own, and rework them, concentrating on recreating the rock riffs that won a stadium full of fans. But whoever told Quo they were fit to cover I Fought The Law, or should try their hands at Born To Be Wild, should collect their P45 and leave the record industry for ever. The memory of reviewing this CD will surely leave a scar.
