If Atomic Kitten want to keep up with the present crop of girl bands they must do better than Ladies Night.
The 15 songs range from Kylie rip-offs with If You Come To Me to sub-standard attempts at R&B on Don't Go Breaking My Heart. Worst offenders are Somebody Like You, Nothing In The World and Always Be My Baby, which are just plain bland. Other songs sound like recycled versions of Whole Again, one of their biggest hits. Better are a good cover version of Kool and The Gang's Ladies Night, fellow single Be With You and the closing Someone Like Me. The girls do have decent voices and always look stunning but that's not enough to sell albums when there are others who can do the same and much more.
