THOSE Liberty X girls and boys have clearly never heard that old adage "less is more".
With 16 tracks and a playing time of around an hour, their chart-friendly R&B-tinged power pop soon starts to wear thin. The band are clearly banking on success by sticking with the style and philosophy of Just A Little, their biggest hit, shunning the garage and pop influences of their first album. Top tracks are recent singles and album openers Jumpin' and the Chaka Khan cover Being Somebody, but from that point everything goes downhill. Watcha Doin' Tonight and Let Go are catchy, and will surely be accompanied by more leather stage wear than is healthy, but the never-ending ballads are too cheesy for words. Best advice: buy the singles instead.
