New Earswick All Blacks ARL Club's Under-13s took their undefeated run to six games with a first-ever victory over Oulton Raiders.
Tries from Adam Caddie (2), Nick Speck, Jonny Nendick and Taz Fernandez gave the home team a well deserved 32-18 Yorkshire Junior League division two victory.
A below-par performance saw New Earswick All Blacks U14s lose 32-4 to a well-drilled Drighlington outfit.
The only highlights for the All Blacks were the tackling of second rower Dan Lofthouse and a well taken try from Elliot Bridges.
York Acorn ARL U16's were disappointing in losing 42-16 at joint league leaders Hunslet Parkside.
Acorn was well beaten by a much smaller team who had plenty of heart and commitment. The only good points for Acorn were the running of Neil Brighton and tackling of Daryl North, who scored two tries. Chris Corr also scored a try and Tony Shepherd kicked two goals.
Anthony Chilton scored York Acorn U12s only try in their 54-4 defeat at East Leeds.
Injury-hit Selby Warriors Under-11s didn't get the run of the green as they lost 48-36 at Harehills.
Despite starting with only 11 players, Selby began well with Karl Cookson setting up Connor Smith to score two tries in the opening five minutes.
Both then went off through injury and Harehills hit back with three tries. Smith hobbled back to lift Selby who scored further tries by Danny Bate, Aiden Davison and winger Adam Chappell to lead 24-12.
Although Chappell went on to score a hat-trick and Bate and Davison also added further tries, Selby's injury toll mounted and they finished the game with eight players. Harehills took advantage of their numerical superiority to run in six tries to win the game against the brave Warriors.
