Acomb 'A' and Sheriff Hutton Bridge have made a great start to the Hunters York and District Indoor Cricket League.
Both these teams won their latest two games easily to maintain their unbeaten records in division one and open a big gap over the other teams.
Acomb, last year's champions, crushed last year's second division champions Osbaldwick by 130 runs and then defeated Rowntree by 70 runs.
Sheriff Hutton Bridge overhauled Stamford Bridge's 118-4 with four wickets to spare then amassed 146-2 against Malton and Old Malton, who were restricted to 106-5 after a spate of run-outs. Nick Scaling scored 31 not out for Bridge and Steve Crowder 28no.
Malton and Old Malton's inexperience showed as they also lost to Stamford Bridge on the their first day in the competition. They were restricted to 79-4 but did a good job in containing Bridge, whose Ian Fraser made an unbeaten 25 to steer his side to a one-wicket win with three balls to spare.
